The Spanish American Genealogical Association was founded in April 1987 as a non-profit
organization. The object of the organization is that of creating and maintaining an organization for the promotion of
research, collection, and development of genealogical data of the earliest Spanish and Mexican settlers of the present South
Texas triangle (from Brownsville to Corpus Christi to Laredo) below the Nueces River. The Association's goal is to conduct
research, obtain collections, and develop resources (computerization of data) of genealogical data and to make them available
to its membership, as well as to the South Texas community by housing said materials in the Corpus Christi Public Library.
The Association meets on a regular basis for a combination business meeting and presentation from a guest speaker on
the first Thursday of every month at the Corpus Christi Public Library. Notices will keep you informed of activities,
genealogical information, microfilm holdings at the library, and more.
Membership is by fiscal year (January - December).

S.A.G.A meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Corpus Christi Public Library.
